Mission, Vision, & Values

For over 35 years, The Charles Lea Center played an important role in the lives of thousands of Spartanburg residents and it continues to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, businesses and community members. The Center grew from an organization geared towards helping children with disabilities to an organization committed to helping people of all ages with mental retardation and related disabilities, autism and head and spinal cord injuries throughout their life.

It is the Center's mission to be the organization committed to supporting people with disabilities and special needs where they live, work and play. By offering residential options ranging from group homes to independent living; day habilitation and vocational training; and an extensive recreation program, the Center is helping over 1,400 people achieve their dreams and improve their quality of life.
